Dis-guitarded materials
Dwen was about to leave for France on her last day in Australia after
a year of WWOOFing, following in the foot-steps of her grandparents.
Here she is holding up her gorgeous knitted guitar case made from
unwanted wool gleaned from Op shops around the country. Behind her is
our Sydney verge garden which has replaced the lawn and is fully
planted with a huge variety of edible plants and companion flowers. It
has become a kind of edge school for local children. The soil is
gradually built up with discarded organic materials found close by
such as lawn clippings and dry leaves and discaded treasures are left
for children to take, or decide not to.
