Canal debris catcher

I made these sieves to catch debris flowing by in the public irrigation canal above my garden in the northern mountains of Taiwan. They catch about a cubic metre of organic matter every year - an attractive yield to keep cycling on the mountain rather than allow to flush down to the sea.
