Toora Heritage Pear Orchard is a community orchard that has over 60 varieties of Pears. The orchard is situated on what would otherwise be vacant council land and the local community can come in and pick fruit. I often help prune the trees in this orchard and think it is a great way to share a crop’s yield . The Grafting days held each year by 'Friends of the Orchard', helps keep the unusual varieties alive for future generations to enjoy.
